WORLD HEALTH DAY: THE THEME OF THIS
YEAR IS "UNIVERSAL HEALTH COVERAGE: EVERYONE, EVERYWHERE."
World Health Day is a global health
awareness day which is observed on April 7. Our school had
celebrated it on 6th April. The day is one of eight official global health
campaigns, marked by World Health Organisation (WHO), along with World
Tuberculosis Day, World Immunization Week, World Malaria Day, World No Tobacco
Day, World AIDS Day, World Blood Donor Day, and World Hepatitis Day. This year
marks the 70th anniversary of World Health Day and the theme for this year is
"Universal health coverage: everyone, everywhere" and the slogan is
"Health for All". This time WHO is calling on world leaders to live
up to the pledges they made when they agreed the Sustainable Development Goals
in 2015, and commit to concrete steps to advance the health of all people. This
means ensuring that everyone, everywhere can access essential quality health
services without facing financial hardship.

ORIENTATION PROGRAMME
The aim was to give parents an
opportunity to experience and understand the world their child explores in
the school. ... It identifies the specific skill set of every child and
helps each one of them to derive motivation from within as well as from the
environment. Such orientation programs are fantastic opportunities for parents
to know what to expect in the coming year and also equip them for it. They also
get to know the teachers in the different classes. The schools explain the
pattern for conducting examinations, the extracurricular activities, the
support required from parents etc. By the end of the Program,
the Parents understood and experienced what happens in the classes and how the
child experiences learning.
A house activity on
cyber safety was organized in 7th to 9th classes to
sensitize students on the hazards and threats associated with the use of
technology. Students shared
information and demonstrated precautions that should be followed during
chatting or plays games on net, through charts and posters.
